Welcome!

We're looking forward to seeing your at the ICGA/ICDA Annual Career Conference on April 16 in Boise.

With continuing budget cuts and downsizing of staff, we all have to do more with less.   Our bosses continue to add more and more duties to our list of responsibilities, and sometimes we all feel like we’re having to juggle too many plates.  I know that the insights that you will get at this conference will help you go back to your students and clients with renewed enthusiasm and a better sense of direction.

I know because, two years ago, I had already checked out of my motel at the end of the Professional-Technical Summer Conference.  I was tired and more than ready to head for home.  It was then that a friend asked me if I had heard about an after conference workshop called, “When You Can’t Keep Up The Pace.”  It had been a hard school year, and the name of the workshop hit me like a lightning bolt.   I ended up staying for another day, but the workshop was definitely worth attending, and the insights that I got from attending have made a difference in my life.   I’m really looking forward to participating in Dr. Susan Jenkins’ follow-up workshop on “How To Take Control.”

I hope you’re all ready to take a break and head to Boise for the ICDA-ICGA Spring Conference on April 16th.    I’m looking forward to seeing all of you there!
